Jane Hogben has been making decorative terracotta pieces for the home and garden since she left the Central School of Art and Design in 1982.

Her work can be seen in the more exclusive stores and specialist shops in Britain and overseas.

All her work is hand made at the pottery in converted farm buildings deep in the Buckinghamshire countryside so each piece is individual and unique. She employs a select team of skilled craftspeople who use traditional, time honoured methods.

There are two elements which combine to give Jane's work its distinctive look - the designs and the soft, warm colour of the terracotta which is mixed to a special recipe. The soft pink has made this terracotta popular with flower arrangers and plantspeople as it is the perfect complement to flowers and planting schemes.

Jane Hogben terracotta is high fired and, consequently frost resistant. See "terracotta tips" for notes on how to get the best from your terracotta.

We also specialise in hand made commissions for corporate gifts, special occasions and commemorative items. Please ask for details.

Jane Hogben runs a series of one day decorative terracotta workshops where beginners can make and decorate their own window boxes and flower pots. Telephone, fax or e-mail for details.
